Life philosophy?

Set yourself some goals and go after them. During the process, work hard and be humble.

How do you grab life?

I try to take every opportunity I get to grow as both a person and an athlete. Whether it means stepping out of my comfort zone, I will do this to ensure I am making the most of some incredible opportunities that come my way.

What’s on your bucket list?

Travelling to explore the Greek Islands. This is something I have had on my bucket list for a very long time!!

What would be your ideal way to spend the weekend?

I love a pretty chilled out weekend. My weekdays are generally pretty busy with training, uni and occasionally some part time work. When I am not training, I like to spend my weekends catching up with friends, going out for brunch/coffee & doing some sort of fun activity. I find it is very important to be able to switch off and enjoy some time away from sport.

Any hidden talents?

Unfortunately, I am not one of many talents haha. A side from my obvious long jumping talent, I can’t think of any other hidden talents. I did have a bit of a talent for football when I was younger, however my coordination has gone out the door since I made the decision to commit 100% to long jump.

What would be a good theme song for your life?

“The Climb” – Miley Cyrus. I’ve had my fair share of set backs so this song is my perfect theme song. I never gave up through the uphill battles.

Biggest defining moment in your life:

Placing 7th at the 2016 Rio Olympics. It truly made me realise I belong amongst the best long jumpers in the world.

Your go to meal?

My go to meal, when in off season would definitely be a Grill’d Burger with a gluten free bun. Being an elite athlete, it’s not too often you get to treat yourself, but when I do I always find I end up at Grill’d.

If you didn’t have to sleep, what would you do with the extra time?

I would spend the extra time with my family and friends. There is nothing more important to me in this world than my family and friends.

What would be the most amazing adventure to go on?

I would love to one day walk the Kokoda trail. This would be a huge challenge, yet would be an incredibly rewarding adventure when complete.
