Life philosophy?

Gratitude, always!

How do you grab life?

Travelling!  I think there’s something magical about getting out and seeing the world. It brings so much perspective, and helps me snap out of my everyday life problems. I’ve had an amazing life full of adventures – ask me any day of the week and I’ll be planning my next one. Life’s too short to stay in one place and do one thing everyday.

What’s on your bucket list?

Write a book. Live on a boat. Raise some chickens. Become a florist.

What would be your ideal way to spend the weekend?

In bed.

Any hidden talents?

Cooking! My happy place is in the kitchen surrounded by pots and pans and making lots of mess. Luckily for me, my boyfriend does all the cleaning up. I love having people over, cooking delicious veggie meals and maybe indulging in a cheeky red wine.

What would be a good theme song for your life?

‘All I Do is Win’ by DJ Khaled.  I’m a big believer in having positive expectations for your life – it sounds a bit Oprah but I think the power of your words are super important.  If you expect to lose, chances are you’ll lose.  Also I just love hip hop because it makes me feel like a badass!

Biggest defining moment in your life?

I was in a job I wasn’t loving and a relationship that wasn’t going anywhere, and I left it all behind.  Right before my 30th birthday!  It was terrifying to leave behind all the things that made me feel safe, because I didn’t have a safety net but it was hands down the most rewarding experience of my life (as well as down right terrifying).  Learning to be defined by something other than my work and my relationship was a huge hurdle for me – letting go of the perceptions of others in an attempt to truly find peace with being just me.  Fast forward a year and the universe has brought me the dream job and the dream man – but first I had to let the bad stuff go.

Your go to meal?

Cauliflower and leek soup.  No joke I go through a bag of leeks every week.  I’m obsessed.

If you didn’t have to sleep, what would you do with the extra time?

Arrange flowers and hug my nieces and nephew!

What would be the most amazing adventure to go on?

I love trains.  I want to go on all the famous train trips throughout the whole world and read books and drink tea and solve a murder.  The last bit sounds weird now that I write it – something to do with ‘Murder on the Orient Express’ perhaps?  But yeah. Trains.  I love them.
